Author’s Concert

The author’s concert of the composer and teacher of the Institute of Culture and Arts Konstyantyn Krepak.

On April 18, 2016 an evening of contemporary music of the member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, lecturer of Musical Arts Chair of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Konstyantyn Krepak took place in the Poltava Philharmonic House.

The composer presented different genres of music in a bright, modern, meaningful manner. The philosophical poetics in combination with the lyrical and dramatic intonations is typical for chamber symphonies performed by the chamber orchestra of the Poltava Philharmonic under the direction of Oleksandr Abramov.

The individuality of the composer K. Krepak revealed in melodic intonation, rhythmic and harmonic basis of the musical texture, the perception of this light artfully reflected in the songs to the words of Taras Shevchenko and Yaroslav Aist and preludes for piano that were performed by the artists of Poltava Philharmonic House.

Among the guests at the event were creative intelligentsia of the city of Poltava, composers of the Poltava branch of the Ukrainian Union of Composers, and teachers and students of the Institute of Culture and Arts.

Public had the perfect opportunity to enjoy the interesting finds of songwriting in combination with classical harmony, elements of jazz, Ukrainian folklore and avant-garde.
