“Slobozhanska Beseda – 17”

The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Slobozhanska Beseda – 17” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism.

This year, connoisseurs of the native language – a universal phenomenon of self-expression, and those who are not indifferent to the issues of its functioning, research and approval in Ukrainian society – have met.

Linguists and teachers of Ukrainian language and literature from Kyiv, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Izmail, Kryvyi Rih, Kropyvnytskyi, Lubny, Mykolaiv, Nizhyn, Odesa, Poltava, Uman, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Khmelnytskyi took part in the conversation.

This conference represented the search of experienced and young scientists, the total number of participants was about 100.

More than 60 scientists and representatives of education communicated online. The materials of the conference will be published in the collection “Slobozhanska Beseda” and the professional publication “Linguistics”.

During the conference, all those interested had the opportunity to be inspired by meaningful and deep reports of linguists from various educational institutions, to share their own thoughts and achievements, to express their opinions on research issues of modern linguistic discourse, the history of the Ukrainian language, modern onomastics, national mentality, challenges in language and literature education during the period of martial law in Ukraine.

We sincerely thank the participants of the conference for meaningful research and interesting discussions and hope for further meetings.
