GROW 2.0 Seminar. Day 2
29.10.2024
Yesterday, the grand opening of the GROW 2.0 seminar took place in Chisinau, which brought together Ukrainian and Danish youth.
The delegations from Ukraine and Denmark got to know each other at the first meeting. Everyone had the opportunity to present themselves, their organizations and initiatives, and talk about their expectations from the seminar, events and further joint work. In the evening, all present took part in a special team building session, which laid the foundation for further team work.
The Ukrainian-Danish Youth House is a platform for the exchange of ideas, culture and knowledge between Ukrainian and Danish youth, strengthening the participation of young people in building democracy and supporting their creative and socially important ideas.
DUF is the Danish Youth Council, which includes 78 children’s and youth organizations. DUF members cover a wide spectrum, from scouts to political youth organizations, voluntary social organizations, cultural, environmental organizations, associations for youth with disabilities and many others.
Both organizations unite young people around the following values:
- Openness and inclusiveness;
- Dialogue and curiosity;
- Cooperation and community;
- Creativity, innovation and courage;
- Mentoring and support.
The second day of the workshop started with a morning session and continued with a discussion on the importance of organizational culture and democracy.
During the active work, the participants learned how organizational culture and democracy work in DUF (Danish Youth Council) and YDUH (Ukrainian-Danish Youth House) and how the level of youth involvement can be increased.
The main focus of the day was on communication and dialogue within the team. Considerable attention was paid to the development of practical skills for effective conflict resolution.
In the evening, an “Organizational Bazaar” was held, where everyone was able to exchange ideas and learn more about the activities of other teams, including their organizations and initiatives.
Our representatives Maryna BELIK and Olha KORINSKA, based on the example of the activities of the Council of Young Scientists and Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the public organization PRO EDUCATION, spoke about their experience in practical activities and unification of young people from different strata of the population: IDPs, UBD, military personnel and others.
We wish Ms. Olha and Ms. Maryna success and further cooperation between representatives of Danish organizations and the Council of Young Scientists and Students.
