Open Lecture

An open lecture was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences.

On October 24, students of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences had a unique opportunity to attend an open lecture on the topic “Experience of Estonia in Education. Possibilities of the Estonian School of Diplomacy”, conducted by Yevgenia Shevtsova, assistant of the Department of History and Archaeology.

The lecture was useful for students majoring in Secondary Education (History), History and Archaeology, International Relations, Public Communication and Regional Studies, Political Science and Sociology. She revealed the experience of Estonia, which, being a small country, was able to successfully reform its education system and become a world leader in digitalization. Yevgenia Shevtsova spoke in detail about Estonia’s innovative approach to education modernization, the integration of information technologies into the educational process, which contributed to the development of a modern educational environment in the country.

Particular attention was paid to the opportunities offered by the Estonian School of Diplomacy (ESD). This institution offers specialized programs to train professionals in the field of international relations and diplomacy, giving students the opportunity to gain international experience and improve their skills in this field. During the lecture, students received detailed guidance on participating in ESD programs, which will allow them to join the global educational community.

An important aspect of the meeting was the understanding of how international experience and educational programs contribute to improving the qualifications and professional level of young specialists. Opportunities to participate in international exchange programs were revealed, which can be a key factor in building a successful career at the international level.

This event became another step for the professional development of students and contributed to the expansion of their outlook on the possibilities of international cooperation in the field of education and diplomacy.
