Ceremony of Awarding the Mantle of the Honorary Doctor of Sciences

The ceremony of awarding the mantle of the Honorary Doctor of Sciences to the Dr. habil., Prof. Agnieszka Cybal-Michalska was held.
On October 16, 2024, the ceremony of awarding the diploma and mantle of the Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU to the head of the Committee of Educational Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, foreign member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Dr. habil., Prof. Agnieszka Cybal-Michalska was held at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Republic of Poland). The solemn event took place at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Pedagogical Faculty of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań under the chairmanship of the Dr. habil., Prof. Waldemar Segiet with the participation of Vice-Rector, Dr. habil., Prof. Zbyszko Melosik.
Vitaly Kurylo, head of the Academic Council of LTSNU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine; Olena Karaman, Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor came to the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan in order to fulfill the mission of handing over the mantle.
During the solemn meeting, Ukrainian scientists made presentations to the scientific community of the Faculty of Pedagogy: Vitalii Kurylo “Higher education in Ukraine under martial law: a displaced university”, Olena Karaman “Scientific activity of a displaced university and training of highly qualified scientific personnel” .
At the end of the ceremony of awarding the diploma and mantle of the Honorary Doctor of Sciences of LTSNU, Mrs. Prof. Agnieszka Cybal-Michalska thanked Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for the honorary award, which is the highest academic award; emphasized the importance and enormous value of Polish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Polish scientific cooperation, which is taking place at a very difficult historical moment of defending European values in the face of external challenges and threats.
In turn, Vitalii Kurylo and Olena Karaman, on behalf of the educators and scientists of Ukraine, expressed gratitude to the Polish people, the President of Poland and the Government for the huge support of Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians, Ukrainian educators and scientists in the bloody war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the entire civilized world. Scientists noted that from the first days of the war, Ukraine and Poland stood together to defend Europe from Russian aggression, and therefore victory over the enemy is inevitable!
