Meeting with Members of the Writers’ Union

Students majoring in Philology met with members of the Kremenchuk Writers’ Union.

On October 24, teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism attended a meeting with members of the “Slavutich” Union of Writers in the city of Kremenchuk. The meeting took place at the Poltava Regional Library for Youth named after Oles Honchar.

The Writers’ Union “Slavutych” was officially registered in the early 1990s, but its origins lie as far back as 1912, when the student club “Youth Union” was created at the Kremenchuk Real School. Therefore, “Slavutych” is one of the oldest literary centers in Poltava Region, which currently unites more than 50 poets and novelists of the city.
Students heard wonderful lyrical poetry, patriotic songs and humorous poetic parodies from the most active members of the union, which include: the head of the union Taisa Tsibulska, as well as her colleagues Iryna Zaliubovska, Ihor Gerasimenko, Anna Chaplyhina, and Viktoriia Sopilniak.

We thank the participants for the wonderful poems, the warm atmosphere, and we hope to see you again in the future!
