Participation in a Training Seminar

The head of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business took part in the training seminar.

On October 21-23, 2024, the head of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business, Viktor Burdun, attended the All-Ukrainian scientific and methodical training seminar on labor training/technology on the topic “School co-working spaces in the Pyriatyn community: experience of starting and functioning during the war.”

The seminar was held with the support of the NGO “Institute of Civil Society” in partnership with the Pyriatyn City Council with the support of the European Union within the framework of the project “Development of added value chains in the dairy and berry clusters of the Pyriatyn community to expand the economic opportunities of youth and rural residents and eco-oriented growth.”

In May – June 2024, a cycle of webinars “Two years of activity of school co-working spaces in the Pyriatyn community” took place. During the webinars, participants learned about algorithms for creating school co-working spaces, how to attract and interest young people in public activities, how to introduce an entrepreneurial component into the educational process, how school workshops support community food security.

And already in October, all participants of the seminar could see the work of co-working spaces in the Pyriantyn community. Meetings were held with school principals, co-working group leaders, and students who spoke inspiringly about their achievements.

Over the course of three days, the participants of the seminar visited art sewing and culinary co-working spaces at Pyriatyn Lyceum No. 6, a gardening co-working space at Berezovorudsk Elementary School, and a culinary co-working space at the Shamrock Cafe in the village of Berezova Rudka, exhibition of innovative coworking. During the seminar, there were many master classes conducted by both teachers and students. In addition, a very important briefing was held on the issues of legal registration of co-working spaces, and those present were also able to share their own experience of organizing the work of their co-working spaces.

Information related to the organization of school co-working spaces and the organization of school social entrepreneurship in educational institutions will be introduced into the educational process of the Department of Education and Culture.

We hope that in the near future no less wonderful co-working spaces will appear in educational institutions of the Lubny community.
