Scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences listened to the online lecture “The Role of the Ombudsman in the Protection of Human Rights during Armed Conflicts”. 

On October 17, scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences listened to the online lecture by the representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, Dmytro MYKHALYOV, on the topic “The Role of the Ombudsman in the Protection of Human Rights during Armed Conflicts”.

Mr. Dmytro talked about the legal status of the Commissioner of the VRU for human rights and the mechanisms and tools for the protection of citizens, procedural rights and compliance with procedural norms, mechanisms of the Commissioner’s influence on state authorities.

At the end of the lecture, Dmytro MYKHALYOV answered the audience’s questions and provided qualified recommendations, including the issue of the release of prisoners and deported persons.
