Lecture on Academic Integrity

On October 15, a lecture on Academic Integrity was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences.

The leading librarian of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Oksana Volodymyrivna SHEVCHIK, gave a lecture for scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the institute.

Ms. Oksana spoke about the main requirements of the Regulation on academic integrity of participants in the educational process of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, which is freely available on the university’s website. Oksana Volodymyrivna emphasized the requirements of academic integrity, which must be fulfilled by scientific and pedagogical workers and students.

The participants of the lecture learned what types of plagiarism there are and how to avoid it, the difference between compilation and plagiarism. We considered the issue of copyright infringement and anti-plagiarism programs. At the end of the meeting, Oksana Volodymyrivna spoke about the design of the used sources using examples and answered all the questions.
