Parents Meeting at the College

A meeting for students’ parents was organized at the Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College.
On October 16, 2024, a parents’ meeting was held at the Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU. The meeting was devoted to important issues related to the organization and content of the educational process, student adaptation to learning, and increasing motivation. The representatives of the college administration informed the attendees in detail about the key aspects of studying at the institution and suggested ways to solve possible problems.
The event began with a speech by the director of the College, Oksana Beis, who spoke about the main principles of organizing the educational process at the institution. Deputy directors were also invited to speak: Lidia Tararyva, who highlighted the issue of educational work, and Nataliia Sergienko, who emphasized the social and humanitarian activities of the college. They emphasized the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents to create a conducive environment for student development.
In addition, the head of full-time education Olena Matlina reminded about the academic discipline and key stages of education. The social pedagogue Viktoriia Churilova drew attention to the possibilities of supporting students in the event of social difficulties, and chief accountant Yana Kropivtseva explained the financial aspects of education and the peculiarities of paying for educational services.
One of the important topics was the discussion of the problems that new students may face when adapting to college life. Group advisors shared their experiences and gave useful advice on how to help students overcome the difficulties of the adaptation period. The main attention was paid to issues of psychological support and communication, which play an important role in maintaining a healthy microclimate in the educational environment.
The final part of the meeting was the discussion of students’ motivation problems. Hanna Pyvovarova, head of the educational and methodological office, psychology teacher, provided recommendations on how parents can help their children maintain interest in learning. It was noted that it is important not only to support academic success, but also to promote the development of independence and responsibility. Emphasis was placed on creating a positive atmosphere at home and supporting children in their academic achievements.
In general, the meeting became an important stage in establishing communication between parents and college teachers. The participants were able not only to learn about the features of the educational process, but also to receive specific advice on supporting students during their studies. The administration expressed hope for further cooperation with parents to create favorable conditions for learning and comprehensive development of students.
