Supporting the Mental Health of Students

Supporting the mental health of students during martial law is a critical component of the overall strategy to ensure their well-being and ability to continue learning in a crisis.

War creates an unprecedented level of stress, anxiety and uncertainty, which seriously affects the mental state of all participants in the educational process.

In order to study the emotional state of students, a meeting was organized with Doctor of Philosophy, assistant of the Psychology Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, head of the center of psychological restoration and adaptation of LTSNU by Anton NAZMIEV, who introduced the participants to the topic “Stress resistance in extraordinary conditions. Stabilization techniques”.

The psychologist emphasized the importance of social support during difficult periods, explained how constant stress and overload can lead to burnout and loss of motivation, and also presented the event participants with several effective stabilization techniques that can be used in conditions of increased stress.

The purpose of this meeting was to help participants better understand the nature of stress and learn effective methods of overcoming it in the conditions of constant psychological stress caused by modern challenges, in particular war.
