October 1 is a Double Holiday

On October 1, Ukraine celebrates two important holidays at once: the Day of Defenders and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks.

On this day, we honor the defenders of our state – our contemporaries, who defended the independence of Ukraine during the Russian aggression, and we remember the Ukrainians who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland from the time of the Cossacks to the years of the liberation movement in the twentieth century.

During a full-scale war, everyone’s biggest dream is for every warrior and every defender to return home alive.

Congratulations on the holidays of the continuity of the heroic traditions of our people, strength of spirit and courage, devotion to the Motherland and pride in its military glory.

We wish all of us Cossack deeds, achievements and deep spirituality. May the desire to defend one’s will and independence continue to be an indispensable feature of Ukrainians!
