Lecture on Academic Integrity at the ER IBM

On September 17, scientific and pedagogical workers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Business and Management listened to a lecture on academic integrity.

The lecture was conducted by Oksana Volodymyrivna Shevchyk, the lead librarian of LTSNU. During the lecture, the main requirements of the Regulation on academic integrity of participants in the educational process of LTSNU, which is available to the general public on the university’s website, were analyzed. In accordance with it, the requirements for academic integrity compliance by scientific and pedagogic workers and students are provided.

Oksana Volodymyrivna spoke about normative acts and documents regulating the issue of compliance with the principles of academic integrity, as well as with the main types of violation of academic integrity, the rules of citation and the preparation of the list of used literature.

Workshop participants learned more about the difference between compilation and plagiarism, how to correctly format citations and bibliographies, copyright infringement, and anti-plagiarism programs. The acquired knowledge will help to avoid unpleasant situations and mistakes in education.
