The teachers of the Department of Commodity Research and Commercial Business took part in the online webinar.
On September 12, 2024, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Commodity Research and Commercial Business joined the online webinar on the topic: “CERTIFICATION OF FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS”.
The speaker of the meeting was Alla POHORETSKA – head of the consulting company “Global Management Business” LLC; consultant on the implementation of management systems and legislative requirements (HACSR); certified auditor of food safety management systems (ISO 22000:2005, HACCP) and quality management systems (ISO 9001)
The program of the meeting included consideration of important issues regarding the certification of food safety management systems. The special attention was paid to the following aspects:
- Which food market operators need ISO, HACCP certification?
- What procedure and types of system certification exist?
- How to choose a certification body and standard?
- What are the advantages, disadvantages and purposes of certification?
- How can a company prepare for certification?
About 200 people took part in the webinar. They were representatives of food industry enterprises, educators, representatives of food supply companies; representatives of the hotel and restaurant business, and internal food safety auditors. During the webinar, participants received relevant knowledge and advice, clarification of legislation, and answers to their questions.
All the considered issues will be introduced by the teachers into the educational process during the mastering of educational components by students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education of the educational program (OP) “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs”.
