Participation in the Online Conference

Teachers of Ukrainian language and literature took part in the online conference “Ukrainian Language in the Educational Space of Poltava Region: Results of Monitoring”.

On September 12, the online conference “Ukrainian Language in the Educational Space of Poltava region: Monitoring Results” was held. The event was attended by teachers of Ukrainian language and literature of our university, scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions and pedagogical workers of specialized and general educational institutions of Poltava and Poltava region.

During the event, the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Taras Kremin, noted: “Today, it is extremely important to comply with language legislation in the educational sphere, so it is worth involving all participants in the educational process in active cooperation in the matter of establishing the state language in schools and beyond.”

The moderator of the conference was Yurii Krashchenko, head of the State Service for the Education  Quality in the Poltava region. Among the speakers were the first vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the higher school Maksym Strikha, the head of the permanent commission on education, science and culture of the Poltava Regional Council Oleh Didenko, representatives of the State Service for the Quality of Education of Ukraine, in particular the deputy head for digital development, digital transformations and digitization Ivan Yuriichuk, head of the Department of Monitoring, Certification and Management Control of the State Service for Education Quality in Poltava Region Nataliia Koriagina.

The head of the Department of Ukrainian Literature of the Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Vira Meleshko; deputy director for educational and methodological work of the Regional College “Kremenchug Humanitarian and Technological Academy named after A. S. Makarenko” of the Poltava Regional Council, Yuliia Maliuk, and other participants of the conference participated in the coverage of topical issues of the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language in the educational space and everyday life. 

At the end of the work, the participants of the conference drew general conclusions regarding the outlined problems and proposed further ways of establishing the Ukrainian language in all spheres of life as one of the signs of national identity and one of the means of establishing Ukrainian statehood.

The scientists of LTSNU are grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to participate in the analysis of the monitoring results and the discussion of important debatable issues.
