Participation in the Festival “Living Culture – Living World”

On September 7, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, Ph.D. Nataliia Mykolaivna Dihtiar took part in the nationwide festival “Living Culture – Living World”. 

The festival “Living Culture – Living World” took place at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine.

This is an event in which practitioners of elements of intangible cultural heritage presented works of folk art and shared their experience of creating them. The action took place with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

The organizer of the artistic event was the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine in partnership with the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine and the NGO “Democracy through Culture”.

Nataliia Dihtiar presented a traditional knotted doll, which is included in the Regional List of Elements of the Poltava Oblast and the National List of Elements of the Ukrainian National Art. The teacher held master classes on teaching how to wind angels in order to preserve and popularize the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine, which is part of our national identity, which we should be proud of.
