Official Housing for University Teachers

Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, who are currently working in Myrhorod, were provided with official housing.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, the university moved to the Poltava region, in particular, several faculties and structural subdivisions moved to the city of Myrhorod. 

“There was no such large-scale university in the territory of the Myrhorod community. Of course, the issue of housing for teachers was acute. When we got this room, the idea immediately arose to equip service apartments for teaching staff,” said Antonina Nikitchenko, managing affairs of the executive committee of the Myrhorod City Council.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has been under evacuation since 2014. Most of the scientific and pedagogical staff have their own housing in the occupied territory, or it has been destroyed in them. That is why the housing problem remains a priority for the university staff all this time.
