Training for Teachers “Digital Security and Cyber Hygiene”

The teachers of the Institute of Arts took part in the training with the support of the USAID program “Dream and Act”.
On September 4, teachers and employees of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts attended a training on the basics of digital security and cyber hygiene.
The purpose of the training was to introduce a digital security policy in the educational institution, protect personal data and accounts.
The training was conducted by Olena Burim, media pedagogue, certified media literacy trainer (DW Akademie (Germany), Ukrainian Press Academy); trainer for IREX project trainers “Practical Media Literacy” (2015), “Learn and Distinguish: Infomedia Literacy” (2019), has experience in media literacy training since 2012; teacher of the Audiovisual Arts Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts of LTSNU.
During the training, teachers and employees of the Institute of Arts got acquainted with the basic concepts of cyber security in the Internet space, discussed 10 myths about cyber security that should be stopped believing. They learned about the key requirements for creating passwords and two-factor authentication. Learned how to recognize and how not to fall for phishing in the network. The result of the training was a discussion of the digital security policy of the educational institution.
This event is implemented within the framework of the “Digital Paths of Art” project with the support of the USAID “Dream and Act” program, which is implemented by IREX. The project is implemented by Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in Poltava and the NGO “Poltava Branch of the Public Service of Ukraine”.
