School Meals Case Study: Ukraine

The teachers of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology joined the presentation “School Meals Case Study: Ukraine” online.

The first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska spoke at the opening of the event, stressing that this is a mandatory stage of joining the School Food Coalition.
During the presentation, the main directions that have already been implemented in Ukraine were presented: updating the standards and regulatory framework, introducing new approaches to the modernization of infrastructure, setting up a pilot factory-kitchen, conducting educational work among the regions and creating opportunities for improving the qualifications of managers and cooks.

Also, during the presentation, some research results of the World Health Organization, including among schoolchildren, were made public. The teachers of the Department will implement the acquired knowledge in a number of elective courses, including “Sociology of Medicine”.
