Regional Scholarships of the Luhansk Regional State Administration

The best athletes of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University received regional scholarships of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.

The order of the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, the head of the Regional Military Administration, “On the appointment of regional scholarships to leading and promising sportsmen of the Luhansk region in the second half of 2024” has been posted on the website of the Luhansk Regional State Administration. 

Students and teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, won prizes at national and international competitions, are among the recepients of the scholarships: 

HANNA KALASHNYK – bachelor’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport” of the ER IHCS, for taking the third place at the European Weightlifting Championship, received a scholarship for leading athletes from the national teams of Ukraine in Olympic sports;

NATALIIA OLIINYK  – bachelor’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport” of the ER IHCS for taking the first place at the 2023 World Powerlifting Championship, received a scholarship for leading athletes with disabilities;

MYKOLA VIKTOROVYCH BARANNIK- teacher of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports of the ER IHCS, received a scholarship for leading non-Olympic sports athletes for taking the first place at the World Powerlifting Championship in 2023;

OLEKSANDR VOLODYMYROVYCH DUBOVOI – Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports, for taking the third place at the 2024 World Team Championship in Heroic All-around, received a scholarship for leading non-Olympic sports athletes;

TETIANA BUDNIKOVA – master’s student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” of the ER IHCS, for taking the fourth place at the European Youth Weightlifting Championship 2023, received a scholarship for promising Olympic sports athletes;

MARK LEVANZOV – bachelor’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport”, for taking the 7th place at the European Championship U20 in 2023, received a scholarship for promising Olympic sports athletes;

SOFIA NAUMOVA – bachelor’s student majoring in “Physic al Culture and Sports” of the EER IHCS,  for taking the second place at the European Championship among boys and girls in weightlifting in 2023, received a scholarship for promising Olympic sports athletes;

OLEKSANDR LUZHBIN – bachelor’s student majoring in  “Physical Culture and Sport” of the ER IHCS, for taking the second place at the World Junior Powerlifting Championship in 2023, received a scholarship for leading non-Olympic sports athletes.

Regional scholarships in the amount of UAH 10,220 per month for leading athletes and UAH 5,110 per month for promising athletes are paid in order to support and stimulate high-achieving sports in the region.
