Participation in the Meeting

The Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology took part in the meeting.

The other day, a meeting was held for candidates for certification experts (teachers of educational subjects (integrated courses) in the civic and historical educational field and/or the educational field “Sociology”), in which the guarantor of the “Sociology” educational program of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, Doctor of Sociology, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology Kateryna Kotelenets, took part.

The head of Monitoring, Certification and Control Department Oksana Mykolaivna Bublei and the deputy head of the Monitoring, Certification and Control Department in the Luhansk region Zhanna Ivanivna Shilina spoke at the meeting.

They introduced those present to the procedure of certification of pedagogical workers, which has three stages: 1 – independent testing, 2 – self-assessment, 3 – study of practical work experience. They stopped precisely at the last stage, in which certification experts participate. They provided thorough information on the methodology of expert assessment of the professional competences of certification participants and explained the main provisions of these recommendations using examples.

The speakers also demonstrated and explained the reporting principles of certification experts, which are based on methodological recommendations for filling out the expert opinion form based on the results of the assessment of the professional competences of the certification participant, and provided a sample form of the Expert Opinion Form on the assessment of the professional competences of the certification participant. The meeting was productive, future steps and training of future certification experts (teachers of educational subjects (integrated courses) of civics and historical educational field and/or “Social Studies” educational field were discussed.
