Students of LTSNU at the 2024 Olympic Games!

Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University will represent Ukraine at the 2024 Olympic Games!
From July 26 to August 11, 2024, the attention of millions of viewers will be focused on the events of the XXIII Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris and will gather more than 10.5 thousand athletes. Athletes will compete in 32 sports for 329 sets of awards.
Ukraine will be represented at these competitions by 140 athletes who will compete in 23 sports.
The Olympic team of Ukraine included the following students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University:
- Ksenia BAILO, a third-year bachelor’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”. She is the champion of Europe-2024 in synchronized diving from the 10 meter tower. In 2023, she won 2 gold medals at the 3rd European Games in Krakow. She is a honored Master of Sports of Ukraine. For achieving high sports results at the 3rd European Games, showing self-sacrifice and the will to win, raising the international authority of Ukraine, she was awarded the State Award of the Order of PRINCESS OLGA – 3rd century.
- Sofiia LYSKUN, a second-year master’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport”. Sofiia Lyskun is the 2024 European champion in synchronized diving from the 10 meter tower. She is a silver medalist of the 2022 World Championship and Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class.
Diving competitions at the Olympics will begin on July 27.
