Creative Contests for Specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports”

On July 8, creative contests started  at the the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU.

Creative contests in physical fitness for entrants to the bachelor’s degree under educational program 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” based on complete general secondary education are held according to the approved program and consist of one round – a complex of four physical exercises for strength, speed and flexibility.

According to the rules of admission to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University each exercise is evaluated on a scale from 0 to 50 points according to the criteria specified in the program. The grade from the creative competition of entrants is given on a 200-point scale. The minimum number of points for admission to the competition for enrollment is 100 points.

The creative competition is held within one day according to the schedule of the admissions committee.

Persons who have undergone a medical examination and provided, when submitting an application, a medical certificate about their state of health, have clearly understood the purpose of their participation in it, are familiar with the equipment and safety rules during their implementation, are allowed to perform the standards of the creative competition in physical culture. In case of unsatisfactory health, it is not recommended to participate in the creative contests. Persons admitted to the test must be dressed in appropriate sports clothes and shoes.

Before the creative contests, entrants are advised about the conditions for performing exercises and the place of testing. The time for testing each exercise of the creative competition is 3-5 minutes per entrant.

The creative contest is also held remotely using telecommunication technologies. When composing the creative contest exercises remotely, the entrant’s full height must be visible on the screen, regardless of the position relative to the floor.

Creative contests at the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports will last until July 31, 2024.
