“Let’s Make Ukraine Clean Together”

On April 23 teachers and students took part in the All-Ukrainian Voluntary Saturday Work “Let’s Make Ukraine Clean Together!”.

“Let’s Make Ukraine Clean Together” is the All-Ukrainian ecology movement, a part of the world movement “Let’s Do It! World” that joins more than 13 million people in 113 countries to protect the environment. In Ukraine this action attracts more than 170 thousand persons every year.

The project is aimed at culture development, environment friendliness, proper treatment to waste, unifying society, authority, business and mass media to clear up fly-tipping and to make Ukraine change to separate waste collection and recycling by 2020.

Students and teachers of LNU did not remain uninvolved and made their contribution to development and improvement of our city.

The action “Let’s Make Ukraine Clean Together” is the important event for our university and focused the attention of citizens on environment problems.

 “Cleaning events are traditional at our university. Our team always pay attention to the problems of ecology and personal responsibility for environment protection”, – noted Rector of LNU Serhii Viktorovych Savchenko.

Students and teachers of LNU cleaned university premises. During the week objects need to be cleaned were chosen and in the morning of April 23 a hard work on cleaning started.

This action made LNU ready for the entrance campaign. Every participant felt the aesthetic enjoyment when improving university zone.
