Successful Completion of Studies at the EU Summer School

The Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations attended and successfully completed her studies at the EU Summer School.
From June 6 to 12, 2024, Olena Mezhenska, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of LTSNU, attended and successfully completed her studies at the EU “ANTICOR” Summer School: EU ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY, LESSONS FOR UKRAINE within the framework of the project under the direction of Jean Monnet of the EU program Erasmus+101047968 – EU AntiCor (ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH) with a total volume of 20 hours. Currently, when Ukraine is actively preparing to become an equal member of the EU, the shadow economy, corruption and its manifestations must be completely reduced to 0.
The training was aimed at studying the experience of the EU’s anti-corruption policy, researching the theoretical and practical aspects of combating corruption, analyzing Ukraine’s experience in implementing EU anti-corruption standards, and acquiring anti-corruption skills in Ukraine. Interesting were the blocks devoted to EU legislation on the prevention and counteraction of corruption, Ukraine’s cooperation with the EU in the field of preventing and countering corruption, influence of corruption on the economic security of the country, and corruption as the main reason for the development of the shadow economy.
The acquired knowledge can be used in the courses “Theory and practice of public administration” and “Fundamentals of public service”, “Municipal law”.
