The National Team of Ukraine Meets in Uzhhorod

The youth national handball team of Ukraine (U-20) began training in Uzhgorod at the Zinedin base in the village of Baranyntsi, the Uzhhorod district, before participation in the final part of the European Championship-2024.
The team included students of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU: Maksym Radchenko – 2nd year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Physical Education”; Dmytro Redkin – 3rd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport”; Oleksandr Dovbysh – 3rd year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”.
A total of 16 players, coaches (Serhii Protsiuk, Oleksandr Tybulevych, and Bohdan Panchenko) and medical staff take part in the meeting. On June 28-29, the team will play two control matches in Trebyshov, Slovakia, against the Slovakian team (U-20). Another 9 players will join the national team at the Slovakia training camp. After the control games, the national team will return to Uzhhorod for training. And on July 8, Ukraine will go to the Slovakian Celje for the Youth Euro-2024. Sweden, Iceland and Poland will be opponents of the blue-yellow team in the group stage. The European Championship will last from July 10 to 21.
