On June 18, first- and second-year students under the guidance of teacher Tetiana Volodymyrivna Staranko visited one of the most beautiful places in Poltava Region, the National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Pottery in Opishny. During the excursion, they viewed dozens of the most diverse sculptures created by potters from different countries during creative plein air sessions, as well as attended a pottery master class.
The students learned about the history of the museum creation, the peculiarities of the pottery industry in the territory of the Poltava region, and took many interesting photos. This trip left a pleasant, unforgettable mark in the hearts of the students, gave bright impressions and positive emotions.
Opishnya is an ancient Cossack town located on the hills above the Vorskla River. The village is the main focus of modern Ukrainian pottery. Over the past three millennia, pottery has developed intensively on the territory of the settlement.
