Meeting of the Academic Council of the ER ISHS

On June 19, the last meeting of the Academic Council of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences took place this year.
Important issues related to the academic and scientific life of our structural subdivision were discussed at the meeting of the Academic Council.
The first item on the agenda was the results of the certification of bachelor’s students. Yu. S. Nuzhna, deputy director for educational work, reported on the high level of training of students who completed their studies in such specialties as “Secondary Education (History)”, “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”, “Political Science” and “Sociology”. She noted that most of the graduates successfully passed certification exams and demonstrating deep knowledge in their specialties.
Next, Yuliia Serhiivna announced the results of educational and industrial internships by the students for the II semester of the 2023–2024 academic year. She noted that the students successfully mastered practical skills and received positive feedback from the places of practice, which testifies to the high level of their training, despite modern conditions.
A. V. Bader, Director of the Institute, gave a report on replenishing the university repository with scientific and educational and methodological works of the institute’s teachers. He emphasized the importance of this work for increasing the scientific potential of the university and urged the teachers to continue active scientific activity.
Heads of departments presented reports on the state of implementation of department work plans, noting achievements and identified problems. Ways to solve them were discussed for the further effective functioning of the departments and the future accreditation of educational programs. In addition, the head of the Department of History and Archeology, O. V. Naboka, presented the opening of the doctoral course in specialty 032 “History and Archeology”. The opening of doctoral studies will be an important step in the development of the university’s scientific activity and will create new opportunities for researchers.
A particularly important topic was the discussion of the organization of an effective admissions campaign in 2024, which was reported by A. V. Bader. He emphasized the need to attract new entrants and increase the competitiveness of our university.
One of the most important issues of the meeting was the approval of candidates to fill the vacant positions of scientific and pedagogical workers, who were allowed to participate in the competition by order of the rector of the university. This time six candidates were approved by secret ballot to fill vacant positions, and we congratulate our colleagues!
At the end of the meeting, the results of the activities of the Academic Council for the 2023-2024 academic year were summarized. A. V. Bader noted the key achievements and moments that influenced the development of our institution. Expressing gratitude to all members of the Academic Council for their contribution, he emphasized the importance of joint work and inspiration for further success.
