Cooperation with the Research Station of Medicinal Plants

Representatives of  the ER INAS of LTSNU visited the Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine within the framework of the concluded agreement.

During the two years since LTSNU moved to Poltava region, the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences has been actively establishing educational and scientific contacts with leading institutions of the new location. One of the first was the signing of an agreement on cooperation with the Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The result of the cooperation between the two institutions was the holding of joint international conferences, the development of projects, the involvement of leading employees of the station as guest lecturers on topics in accordance with the content of the educational components of the specialties “Ecology”, “Agronomy”, “Biology”, etc.

The delegation from the university included the Director of the Institute Nataliia MATSAI; the head of the Biology and Agronomy Department Halyna Yevtushenko; the head of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology Iryna KRAVETS; as well as the leading teacher of the Biology and Agronomy Department Serhii LYTVYNENKO. The visit of the institute’s team to the station began with a meeting with director Oleksii USTYMENKO and deputy director for scientific work Lyudmila HLUSCHENKO.

During the meeting, the issue of further cooperation was discussed and joint plans were defined. The employees of the station conducted a tour of the territory of the station including scientific laboratories, collection crops and research plots, etc.
