“National Security: Threats and Challenges”

Teachers and postgraduate students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations participated in the All-Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical training “National Security: Threats and Challenges”.

Today, there is a growing trend of challenges to international stability and national security of Ukraine, which is caused by the formation of a multipolar world. This circumstance must be taken into account when developing and implementing the national security policy for both the medium and long term. Therefore, teachers and postgraduate students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University participated in the All-Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical training “National Security: Threats and Challenges”, which they successfully completed.

The professional program is interdisciplinary, designed for specialists in national and civil security, political science, international relations, developed taking into account the latest scientifically based approaches and aimed at the development and improvement of psychological and pedagogical, communicative, informational and communication competences, practical skills and skills of interactive interaction , and also promotes professional and personal development. The training took place in the following directions: “The process of implementing basic military training in institutions of higher education as an element of national security”; “Man-made danger during the war in Ukraine”; “Open Source Intelligence: Intelligence Tools Available to Everyone”.

The study of the educational component on national security issues (on a selective basis) is an important component of the training of applicants of the second (master’s) level of higher education who study under the educational and professional program 052 Political Science and provides applicants with systematic knowledge about the geopolitical components of the formation of the world order in the context of ensuring national security and the impact of the consequences of the transformation of the world order on national security, which will allow them to solve complex specialized tasks regarding an adequate response to threats to the national interests of Ukraine within the limits of their professional competence in the conditions of the formation of a multipolar world.
