Fire drills and emergency evacuation of the university personnel took place.
A training session on the topic “Actions of the management of the educational institution and participants of the educational process in the event of a fire and emergency evacuation” was held for employees at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The event was conducted by the leading inspector of the State Emergency Service of the Lubny District of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Poltava Region, Viktor Volodymyrovych Sokolovskyi.
The training was conducted according to the schedule of practical training of management staff and specialists, approved by the Lubny Mayor.
After the theoretical part of the event, the leading inspector of the Emergency Emergency Service conducted a training exercise on putting out a conditional fire in practice using the existing fire extinguisher together with the employees of LTSNU.
We should remind you of the procedure for the personnel of the educational institution to act in the event of a fire.
Every employee of an educational institution upon detection of a fire or signs of burning (smoke, burning smell, temperature increase, etc.) must:
- immediately report this to the fire and rescue service by calling 101, 102 (at the same time, it is necessary to tell the address of the object, the place of fire, and your surname);
- to take, if possible, measures to evacuate people, extinguish fires and preserve material values.
Upon arrival at the scene of the fire, the persons designated as responsible for ensuring fire safety must:
- report the occurrence of a fire to the fire and rescue service by calling 101, 102;
- notify people about a fire;
- notify the management and on-duty services of the object, the fire fighting unit, the volunteer fire brigade;
- in the event of a threat to people’s lives, to immediately organize their rescue, using available forces and means for this purpose;
- remove from the danger zone all participants of the educational process who do not participate in extinguishing the fire;
- ensure compliance with safety requirements by workers involved in firefighting;
- at the same time as extinguishing the fire, organize evacuation and protection of material values;
- organize a meeting of fire and rescue service units and to provide assistance in choosing the shortest way to approach the center of the fire and to join the firefighting headquarters.
