Defense of Educational Practices

The defense of educational practices took place at the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences.

On June 10, the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences of the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences hosted the defenses of the reports on the completion of educational (field) practices. 

Educational field practices are an important component of the educational process for bachelor’s students majoring in the 014.07 “Secondary Education (Geography”) and 103 “Earth Sciences”. Field practices contribute to the deepening of the understanding of geographical processes, and also allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, develop professional skills and gain valuable work experience in real conditions.

After getting acquainted with the methods of field research and studying the safety instructions, the applicants acquired the skills of observing phenomena and processes in the hydrosphere during the internship; monitored hydrological processes; collected data on weather conditions; studied the principles of meteorological instruments, analyzed climatic indicators; conducted microclimatic observations; explored the topography of the area; geomorphological objects were mapped; weathering and erosion processes were analyzed, etc.

The field practices became a great opportunity for personal and professional growth. The results of the work of the acquirers were reports, properly designed and illustrated with appropriate photos.
