Participation in the Popular Cultural and Educational Project “True Story”

Recently, the 2+2 channel premiered another documentary film from the True Story series, authored by Akim Halimov.
In the next series of the project, the Ukrainian history of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is examined, the main Russian ideological dogmas regarding the historical development of these regions are debunked. A number of leading Ukrainian historians including experts in various aspects of national or regional history were involved in the creation of the film. The expert on the development of the Luhansk region in early modern times was Doctor of Science, Professor, Head of the Department of History and Archeology of the University Oleksandr Naboka. Among other things, he highlighted the peculiarities of the Cossack development of Luhansk Region in the XVII-XVIII centuries.
Participation in filming, which took place in January of this year, became another achievement for Oleksandr Naboka in the matter of popularizing the Ukrainian history of his small homeland. He repeatedly became a participant in popular science programs of leading Ukrainian information resources, including the popular channels “Iceland”, “Real History”, “History without Myths”. Many of his materials and interviews were published in the pages of leading periodicals. The historian continues to develop this area of activity of the Department of History and Archaeology.
