All-Ukrainian Scientific-Methodological Seminar-Marathon

On May 31, the Social Pedagogy Department organized the Third All-Ukrainian Scientific-Methodological Seminar-Marathon with international participation “Childhood: Modern Realities, Challenges, and Prospects” dedicated to the International Child Protection Day.
The co-organizers of the event were the leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland, namely: Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (Kyiv), Kharkiv National Medical University, Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University,Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law, Vinnytsia Institute of Trade and Economics of the State University of Trade and Economics, the Communal institution of higher education “Barsky Humanitarian and Pedagogical College named after Mykhailo Hrushevskyi”, Khmelnytskyi Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Communal Institution of General Secondary Education , “Lyceum No. 13 of Khmelnytskyi City Council”, University of Prešov in Prešov (Slovak Republic), Secondary School Važecka, 11 in the city of Prešov (Slovak Republic), and Institute of Sociological Sciences of the University of Natural Sciences in Warsaw (SGGW) (Republic of Poland).
The Seminar-Marathon lasted almost 11 hours of continuous work and brought together more than 160 participants: experts, scientists, educators, students and representatives of the public sector from different parts of Ukraine and Europe to discuss current issues of childhood in the modern world.
The program of the event included speeches by leading experts, panel discussions, workshops and master classes.
The main topics of the seminar were: childhood as a special period of development; social, legal, and medical principles of child protection in Ukraine during hostilities; orphanhood as a modern social phenomenon; social responsibility as a prerequisite for a child’s full development; creative educational, psychological, communication practices and their use in working with children; problems of remote education of children during hostilities; practice-oriented approaches to the implementation of inclusive education in the period of military operations; psychological and pedagogical problems of cyber socialization of children in modern society; socio-pedagogical aspects of methodical work with parents, foreign experience of working with Ukrainian refugees, etc.
The All-Ukrainian Scientific-Methodological Seminar-Marathon provided an opportunity for the participants to exchange experience, discuss the latest research and practices, and establish new professional contacts.
Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University expresses its gratitude to all participants and co-organizers for their active participation and support in holding the seminar-marathon. We hope that such events will become traditional and contribute to the development of socio-pedagogical science and practice in Ukraine.
