The heavenly army was replenished with another soldier.

On June 1, in Lviv, we said goodbye to our student, a devoted patriot, a kind and positive person – Yevhen Zhdanov, a citizen of the village of Sadky, Starobilsk District.

Yevhen was born on July 24, 1991. He graduated from school in Sadky. He received a diploma at the Starobilsk Professional College of LNAU, and last year he received a higher education at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. He worked in trade and was fond of cooking.

During 2016-2020, he performed combat missions in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation/operation of the United Forces as part of the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa of the operational command “East” of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces. He defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state in the eastern direction as part of the 111th separate ground defense brigade of the “East” regional command of the Ground Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a rifle platoon commander.

Yevhen Zhdanov had parents, wife, two brothers, two sisters and many friends.

We are all saddened by the death of Yevhen and share the pain of loss with his family and friends. May his soul find eternal rest, and his memory will motivate all of us to fight for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
