Cosmetic Biotechnology: From Formula to Product

A representative of the ER INAS had a course “Cosmetic Biotechnology: From Formula to Product”. 

For two weeks, Nataliia MATSAI, Director of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, trained biologists, chemists, doctors and pharmacologists in the course “Cosmetic Biotechnology: From Formula to Product”, which was held in partnership with Tech StartUp School at the initiative of career and business – hub VONA.

The training program included theoretical training, independent processing of materials and practical work in a specialized laboratory to create one’s own recipes for safe cosmetology products. During the training, the main requirements for the production of cosmetic products, their safety, manufacturing technologies and the basics of the recipes of various cosmetic products, the peculiarities of creating one’s own recipes of products of various directions were considered. The laboratory mastered the technologies of manufacturing hair products, creating solid shampoo, hair products, heat protection spray, body products, creating batter, body products – scrubbing, face products – toning, face wash products, making milk for washing, making sunscreen, creating a serum with the desired effect.

Based on the results of the training, Nataliia Matsai developed the training program “Safe Cosmetics: We Create It Ourselves” and plans to develop the educational component of the selective block of the corresponding content.
