Agronomic Experiments of Teachers of the Biology and Agronomy Department

At the end of April, the season of research work in agronomy for teachers of the Department of Biology and Agronomy began.

Experimental sites were laid out on the territory of Lutensk community of Poltava region. As a result of the research, it is planned to obtain data that will allow improving technologies for growing sweet corn and soybeans, clarifying the details of environmentally safe technologies for specific soil and climatic conditions, and methods of using bacterial preparations. All the listed directions of research correspond to modern trends in crop production and take into account the possibilities of preserving the quality of the environment. According to the received data, it is planned to create recommendations for production, which will allow obtaining high yields of ecologically clean products.

Currently, biometric features of plants are studied, the duration of phenological phases, and the reaction to the use of bacterial preparations are determined.

Master’s students majoring in 201 Agronomy are involved in laying out experimental plots and conducting field and chamber studies of plants.
