Colors Intertwined With a Rainbow

The colors intertwined with a rainbow in the city of Poltava.

The World Vyshyvanka Day is traditionally celebrated on the third Thursday of May. On this day, everyone immerses themselves in the tradition of the Ukrainian national color, as the embroidery for Ukrainians is a real national shrine that symbolizes beauty, power, good fortune and family memory.

The Institute of Philology and Journalism, the Institute of Arts, and the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences held the exhibition-fair “Colors Intertwined With a Rainbow” in the city of Poltava.

Students and scientific and pedagogical workers joined the university fundraiser for drones to support our defenders. Many different lots were prepared for the fair: candies with predictions, hand-painted paintings, miniature quilts, cookies, postcards and much more.

Vyshyvanka is the clothing of free people and we are proud of our traditions.
