Practice for Students Majoring in Therapy and Rehabilitation

Students majoring in Therapy and Rehabilitation have internships at the rehabilitation centers and medical communal enterprises.

Students majoring in Therapy and Rehabilitation, the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Medical Diagnostics of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU undergo clinical practices on the basis of rehabilitation centers and medical communal enterprises.

During practice, young specialists supplement their thorough knowledge with practical experience of working with patients, acquire professional competencies in the field of providing medical services, in particular related to the rehabilitation of patients with various nosologies.

The opportunity for students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University to gain valuable experience in the provision of rehabilitation services, to enrich their practical skills, is an extremely important process of training highly qualified specialists.

The professional approach of the management and teachers of the university to the organization of practical training of students made it possible to adapt to the specific conditions of the future profession and to get the necessary practical experience of working with real patients. In practice, students are able to make decisions on their own, justifying the validity of their conclusions, learn subordination, work in a medical team, and acquire professional communication skills.

In the process of communicating with mentors from health care institutions, students began to better understand the importance and relevance of the chosen profession in the modern world, especially at the time when the Russian-Ukrainian war is ongoing in our country.
