Participation of the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology in webinars on Artificial Intelligence.

The latest technologies are rapidly changing the face of education, and one of the most exciting innovations is the use of artificial intelligence in education. In April – May 2024, as part of the program of introducing English into the educational and scientific process at the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University,” teachers of the Romance & Germanic Philology Department N. F. Khairulina, L.T. Tyshakova, O. Ye. Yunina, I. V. Sklyarova, took part in a series of webinars aimed at deepening knowledge about the role of artificial intelligence in teachers and researchers, its opportunities and challenges. The use of artificial intelligence in education can ease teachers’ tasks by helping to individualize learning, providing access to personalized learning material, and providing data analysis to improve the quality of education.

During the events, the speakers told the participants about the benefits of AI and how to create a promo for Chat GPT. They also offered exciting ideas for using textual AI in English classes. They used various AI services that already allow teachers to reach a new level in teaching foreign languages as an auxiliary tool for their professional activities, including education.

Participants from the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology received a certificate as a testament to their active participation and commitment to professional development. This certificate, indicating the time and credits earned, recognizes their efforts and encourages further participation in similar initiatives.
