The All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work” was held.
The topic of psychological well-being in the conditions of war is extremely relevant in modern Ukraine. Most Ukrainians today face significant stressful situations, trauma, loss and instability, which seriously affects their mental health. That is why the development of effective strategies to support psychological well-being is critical to ensuring the well-being and rehabilitation of people affected by war events.
To this end, on May 7, 2024, the Social Pedagogy Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of LTSNU and the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University organized the 13th meeting of the All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work” on the topic: “Supporting Psychological Well-being Under the Challenges of War”.
The speaker of the meeting was Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Psychology of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University Nataliia Mykhailivna Saveliuk.
127 representatives from various institutions of the social sphere, teachers and students of higher education institutions of different regions of Ukraine took part in the event.
In the theoretical part of the event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss the main approaches to determining psychological well-being; consider the structure of psychological well-being (according to K. Riff); talk about uncertainty and war. The practical block of the webinar allowed the participants to practice diagnostic methods, analyze the data of empirical studies and receive practical advice on maintaining psychological well-being in the conditions of the challenges of war.
The Social Pedagogy Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology expresses its sincere thanks to Nataliia Mykhailivna for the master class. We hope for further cooperation.
