Book for the Defender

The Book for the Defender is a special project for the Council of Young Scientists at the MES.

During the 2021-22 year of activity, the #Book_for_a_defender (#Книга_захиснику) united military personnel and young scientists from different parts of Ukraine. Books were handed over to military hospitals in Kyiv, Uzhgorod, Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Odesa.

Employees and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the continuation of the project and the collection of Ukrainian-language books for our soldiers.

The goal is to replenish hospital libraries with Ukrainian-language books for our soldiers, establish friendly contacts between young scientists and military personnel to deepen scientific and educational cooperation, support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, diversify the leisure time of soldiers undergoing treatment, and assist in their rehabilitation.

Books can be brought to the location of the university at the following addresses:

• room No. 545a, 3 Ivan Banka Str., the city of Poltava (contact person is Olha Korinska)
• room No. 121, 2 Viktor Novikov Str., the city of Lubny (contact person is Kateryna Kovalenko)
• room No. 2, 1st floor, 52/15 Starosvitska Str., the city of Myrhorod (Special Boarding School) (contact person is Liudmyla Cherkasova)

or you can send books by Nova Poshta or Ukrposhta to the city of Poltava.
