Dialogue of Cultures in Challenging Times

The International scientific and practical conference “Dialogue of Cultures in Challenging Times” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism.
Participants in the conference were Ukrainian university students and leading scientists from various institutions of higher education in Ukraine and other countries.
In particular, the conference was attended by such scientists, researchers and university instructors as Dr. Katarzyna BANKA-ORLOWSKA from Silesia University in Poland; Dr. John Upson from the University of West Georgia, the USA; Dr. Sylvia SANTISTEBAN, a world-renowned researcher from Peru; Dr. Ruslans SUDNIKS and Dr. Elina PEINA, scientific researchers from Riga technical University, Latvia; Dr. Irfan TOSUNCUOGLU and Dr. Ozkan KIMIZI from Karabuk University, Turkey.
The online form of scientific communication gave participants the opportunity to discuss such topical issues as innovative technologies in language teaching; theory and practice of teaching dialogue of cultures in a digital environment; the development of virtual communication in the context of a digitalized society; differences in the сcultural dimensions; the influence of artificial intelligence on philology; natural language processing; machine translation; sociocultural and intercultural problems of translation.
It is necessary to note the interactive nature of the conference – the discussions sometimes lasted longer than a report or a presentation itself. The languages of communication were Ukrainian, English and Chinese.
