A competition of student choreographic works was held at the Institute of Arts.
On April 23, the traditional annual competition of student choreographic works “Mosaic” was held at Department of Musical Art and Choreography, the Educational and Research Institute of Arts.
The head of the jury was Tetiana Bezgreshnova – Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, artistic director of the folk art collective of the dance ensemble “Barvinok” of the CM “Poltava Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity of the Poltava City Council”. The jury included teachers of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography of the ER IA – Liudmyla Sokil, Tetiana Vilkhovchenko, Olha Bilokon and Roman Gromtsev.
Alona Tereshchenko and Olha Cherniavska worked on the preparation of the concert.
Contest presenters were students majoring in “Audiovisual Art and Production” specialty – Valeriia Nazarenko and Serhii Ruban.
During the second semester, the fourth-year students majoring in “Choreography” independently prepared for the competition. They had to act as choreographers of their own production. The participants were also asked to think of a description for their performances, because no one can describe the essence of their dance better than an artist.
Contestants were divided into three categories: the first category – 1st year students, the second category – 2nd and 3rd year students and the third category – 4th year students, graduates. In each category, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place was determined.
A total of 17 choreographic works were presented at the competition.
The competition was also graced by invited guests – students majoring in “Musical Art” with vocal and instrumental numbers.
The highest award – the Grand Prix – was won by the 4th-year student Anastasia Kondratiuk for the performance “Influence”.
Congratulations to the winners and participants of the competition!
The ABM Center has created a recording of the competition, which will be posted on the ER IA YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Inu_art_institute_poltava.
