Meeting of the Academic Council of the ER ISHS

Traditionally, on Thursday, April 25, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences.

During the meeting, important issues of development of the educational and scientific process and activity of the Institute were discussed.

The beginning of the meeting was devoted to the presentation of reports on the results of the Science Days at the institute’s departments. The teachers of the departments discussed and exchanged their scientific achievements and impressions from the participation and organization of these events. This year, it is worth noting that the Institute’s traditional Science Days were held on a larger scale, involving not only colleagues from other educational institutions, but also interested stakeholders. The participation of applicants and teachers was active and productive, contributing to the exchange of experience and the introduction of new ideas.

Next, attention was focused on vocational guidance work at the institute. During the speech, the director of the institute, A. V. Bader, presented the results of the work and proposed ways of further improvement of this activity. Special attention was paid to the new conditions for admission to the institute for applicants from privileged categories.

During the meeting, tickets were approved for the final certification of graduates of the first (bachelor) level of higher education, which take into account the key aspects of the educational programs and allow to objectively assess the academic achievements of the applicants. One of the key items on the agenda was the discussion of changes to educational programs and curricula for the next school year. The deputy director for educational work, Yu.S. Nuzhna, emphasized that these changes are an important stage in the continuous improvement of the educational process and taking into account the current requirements for education. The proposed changes were presented and thoroughly discussed. In addition, the results of the accreditation of educational programs were presented at the meeting, which is an important step in the development of the institute, and directions for further steps to improve the quality of education were determined. Special attention was paid to the development of foreign language skills among the teaching staff.

At the end of the Academic Council of the ER ISHS, it should be concluded that it was distinguished by intensive discussions and active discussion on key issues, which contributes to solving current problems and implementing new strategies to further improve the quality of the institute’s educational and scientific activities.
