Participation in the seminar-meeting of the expert group on fair and environmentally sustainable production and trade in value-added chains for the main products or sectors of Ukraine.

With the support of the specialized agency of the United Nations Organization, UNIDO, the unique task of promoting the stimulation and acceleration of industrial development of Ukraine and the achievement of all Sustainable Development Goals is being implemented.

The scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department of Merchandising and Trade Entrepreneurship of the Educational and Research Institute of Technologies and Trade took part in the seminar-meeting of the Expert Group on Fair and Environmentally Sustainable Production and Trade in Value Added Chains for the Main Products or Sectors of Ukraine”, which took place on April 25, 2024 .

The seminar-meeting is part of a series of informational events within the framework of the program “Development of Industrial Capacities, Policy Consultations and Diagnostics for the Green Recovery of Ukraine”, which is implemented under the leadership of UNIDO with the donor support of Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ) provided for three sessions:

Session 1: New opportunities for Ukrainian exporters

Session 2: Panel discussion: Implementation of the principles of sustainable development in the export strategies of Ukrainian business representatives

Session 3: Government support programs for exporters

The seminar-meeting is aimed at: review of the dashboard of the survey of the participants of the 2 previous workshops for exporters, exchange of experience and presentation of best practices of business representatives, discussion of further steps in the development of sustainable export of Ukraine.

The participation of the guarantors of the educational program “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs Affairs” in such events ensures a systematic update of the content of education, taking into account the development of industrial capacities, policies and diagnostics for the green recovery of Ukraine, the implementation of the principles of sustainable development in the export strategies of Ukrainian business representatives.
