WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HAMSTER AND A MARMOT

We are looking for a hamster and a marmot in Sumy and Poltava regions! These are two rare species of animals included in the Red Book of Ukraine.

They live in burrows, they are mostly found in open steppe and meadow areas next to fields, meadows, in hayfields, in streams and ravines.

Any information indicating the exact places and dates of meeting these animals in the mentioned regions will be extremely useful for scientific research conducted by candidate of biological sciences, researcher at the University of Oulu (Finland) Mykyta Peregrym together with a master’s student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University (Myrhorod, Poltava Region) Larysa Osypenko.
