Seminar “Innovations in Education”

On April 4, the seminar “Innovations in Education” was organized by the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business as part of the Science Days.
The participants of the seminar were teachers and students of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business and the Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU, teachers of labor training and technologies of secondary schools of the Luhansk region and the city of Lubny.
The program of the seminar included:
- an online exhibition of works by students and graduates of the Department;
- holding a lecture on the topic “Application of artificial intelligence in education” (speaker was Olena Viktorivna Burdun, methodologist of the highest category of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Modernization of the Content of Education”);
- acquaintance with the work experience of the Kropivnytskyi Interschool Resource Center No. 1″ (speaker was Olena Valeriivna Gorobets, director of the center, honored teacher of Ukraine, teacher of labor training);
- discussion of current issues of technological education.
The seminar was started by the head of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business, Viktor Vasyliovych Burdun, who noted that it is already traditional for the department to hold various seminars and conferences in April.
Before introducing the speakers and giving them the floor, Viktor Vasylovych offered the participants of the seminar to watch a series of videos of the works of students who are currently studying and the best works of students during the university evacuation period. After that, the floor was given to the speakers of the seminar.
Olena Gorobets told about the fact that in the city of Kropyvnytskyi three interschool resource centers have been created, in which classes on technology and life safety are held for 7-9th grade pupils of all schools of the city. Mrs. Olena demonstrated the material base of the center, the projects that teachers of the resource center offer to students. The director paid special attention to volunteer activities that take place in the center. The volume of sets of underwear, bandanas and other items produced by the “Vulik” volunteer center impressed the participants of the seminar.
Olena Burdun introduced the seminar participants to the peculiarities of working with artificial intelligence and ways of its application in the educational process. Workshop participants had the opportunity to try creating images-generating devices, interact with famous figures from the past brought to life by artificial intelligence, and create a presentation on a specific topic with the help of AI.
The participants of the seminar thanked the organizers and speakers of the seminar! We hope that the knowledge and skills acquired by the seminar participants will be effectively applied in the educational process.
