Webinar “Development of a High-Quality Educational Program in Specialty 035 Philology”

The lecturers of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Department attended the webinar “Development of a High-Quality Educational Program in Specialty 035 Philology”.

The guarantors of educational programs, S.V. Perova (Translation – English and the second foreign language (Chinese)), Perepadya D.O. (Language and Literature (Chinese, English)), and Yu.V. Malakhova (Language and Literature (Japanese, English)), participated in the webinar conducted by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, dedicated to the development of a high-quality educational program in Specialty 035 Philology. The webinar aimed to discuss urgent issues and provide recommendations for improving the quality of education in the field of philology and translation.

During the webinar, the speakers emphasized the importance of compliance with the higher education standard in Specialty 035 Philology, the rational distribution of credits among professional learning outcomes (Language – Literature – Translation). Moreover, the attention was devoted to technological and service-oriented competencies that can be developed by including specific learning outcomes in educational programs which involve acquiring skills in working with CAT tools.

During the discussion of the accreditation procedure the National Agency drew the attendee᾽ attention to the main aspects and shortcomings of the accreditation process considered during the evaluation.

Overall, the event has been a valuable experience for the guarantors of educational programs implemented at Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Department and will contribute to their further improvement and enhancement of teaching quality.
