All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work”

The All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work” was held.

On March 26, 2024, as part of the All-Ukrainian webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work”, the Department of Social Pedagogy of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University organized a meeting with a representative of the International Medical Corps by Alona Ignatieva.

The speaker gave a lecture on “Combating gender-based violence. The work of the International Medical Corps on combating the gender-based violence”.

More than 150 participants from different regions of Ukraine traditionally took part in the event. Teachers of the Department of Social Pedagogy and students majoring in 231 “Social Work”, the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology”, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology took part in the event.

The participants of the webinar had the opportunity to receive information about the areas of work of the department for combating gender-based violence; clarify the concepts of “gender equality”, “gender-based violence”; discuss the types of violence, its consequences and the needs of women who have survived violence; learn about services provided to girls and women survivors of violence from the International Medical Corps, etc.
